Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go! This page explains how to permanently delete your KaziEasy account and all associated business data.

⚠️ Important: This Action is Permanent

Deleting your account will permanently erase:

All sales transactions and order history
Inventory records and stock movements
Staff accounts and permissions
Business reports and analytics
Expense records
AI conversation history (Hosanna)

This cannot be undone. Please export your data before deleting your account.

Before You Delete

We recommend you:

Export your data: Go to Reports → Export to CSV to download your sales, inventory, and transaction history
Cancel active subscriptions: Ensure you won't be charged for future billing periods
Notify your staff: Let them know they will lose access to the app
Save important receipts: Print or screenshot any receipts you need for tax purposes

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: Delete from Within the App (Recommended)

Open the KaziEasy app and log in to your account
Navigate to Profile → Account Settings
Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
Read the warning message carefully
Type "DELETE" (in capital letters) to confirm
Tap "Permanently Delete My Account"
Your account and all data will be deleted within 24 hours

Method 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

Send an email to privacy@kazieasy.com
Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
Include your:
- Business ID
- Registered email address
- Business name
We will verify your identity and process your request within 3 business days
You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete

What Happens After Deletion

Within 24-48 hours:

✅ Your account will be permanently deleted
✅ All business data will be removed from our servers
✅ Your Business ID will be deactivated
✅ All staff members will lose access
✅ You will receive a final confirmation email

Data Retention for Legal Compliance

Please note:

Some anonymized transaction data may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with Rwanda tax laws
This data is fully anonymized and cannot be linked back to your business
We do not retain any personally identifiable information beyond 30 days of account deletion

Alternatives to Deleting Your Account

If you're experiencing issues or concerns, consider these alternatives:

Cancel subscription: Keep your account but stop being charged (retain access to historical data)
Contact support: We may be able to help resolve your issue without deletion
Temporarily suspend: Take a break without losing your data
